Been here dozens of times and overall it is very good. The waiting time is fairly quick, the grilled fish is nice and they have a variety of salads to choose from, all equally as tasty. Definitely the best fish and chips shop in the St.George area.

Every single staff is super friendly and helps us with the pram even though the venue is not designed for dinning in with young kids. Really appreciate their efforts to make new mums’ social life easier. Fish is delicious and fresh. Calamari rings are not oily and heavy. You can tell the oil is fresh because every item on the plate tastes light and delicious. It’s refreshing to find a nice place to eat quickly when you have a young infant.I highly recommend it and the long queue out the front is a good sign that this place is fantastic if you crave for some fresh fish and chips

We rarely do takeout and often they are nothing to rave about. We recently moved to the area and after almost a decade in Annandale (Inner West )we were missing our local favourite _ then someone mentioned The Barra and said they were good..... We had to try & "good" was an understatement - they are the best Fish and Chips we've had as a takeaway. You can tell that the team are passionate and care about providing the best service. The food, the service and atmosphere - all on point!

A must try for seafood and salad lovers.A wide selection of fresh salads, made with fresh ingredients with satisfying flavours. Fantastic meal deals, which include fish/seafood of your choice and salad for around 20. Great value for money, with generous portion sizes that are neatly served in an eco-friendly way.Highly recommend.

Great fish and chips. Serving sizes are always great and prices aren't too high. Definitely recommend Cypriot salad. Also the garlic marinated fish grilled is an excellent change to the base grilled fish for the same price. Mixed seafood packs are also great but can't go wrong with basic fish and chips either.
